Today we stopped by Varbergs Kusthotell to take a look at our sleek black 6×9-meter stretch tent, which spans the lawn outside the hotel’s entrance. And wow—they’ve really pulled it off here. The three-month-long heat wave in Sweden has everyone moving their indoor activities outdoors. All the comforts you’d usually find in living rooms and dining rooms have moved outdoors.
It creates an almost nomadic atmosphere, where our black Bedouin tent frames a beautiful, ocean-inspired interior that characterizes the entire space.
It’s a cozy spot with a view of the sea, and the tent shields you from the wind so you can enjoy your book and a really strong cup of Swedish coffee in peace and quiet. Sometimes there’s even live music, as this lovely outdoor area also serves as a stage.
Whether it’s early mornings at sunrise (even if that means getting up at 3:00 a.m. Swedish time), late evenings at sunset (around 10:00 p.m.), or really any time of day, this place offers a peaceful and relaxed dining experience for everyone who visits this gem on the west coast.
